I was born in western North Carolina and lived most of my childhood in upstate South Carolina. I am the only son of Gail Lovingood and David A. Earley and have an older sister, Cynthia Miller. I graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Civil Engineering in 1992. From 1992-2002, I worked in homebuilding and land development in varying capacities and multiple markets in the southeast including Atlanta, Charleston, Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and Greenville, SC.
In 2003, I joined Centex Destination Properties as their national VP of Land Development, with responsibilities in FL, NC, NH, TX, NV, CA, and Hawaii. My position with CDP grew to VP of Organizational Development, which included oversight of Land Development, Purchasing and Estimating, Architecture and Vertical Construction. My position progressed to Division President for CDP Mid-Atlantic with total business management responsibilities for Bear Lake Reserve in Western NC and South Peak Resort in Loon, NH.
My passions in life are my eight year old daughter, Taylor and Clemson University athletics. Taylor and I attend all of Clemson's home football games where we tailgate with family and friends. I also enjoy woodworking and spending time outdoors.
